Mercy University’s B.S. in Data Analytics provides students with the understanding and skills they need to compete in the 21st century’s data-driven business environment. Students will interact with faculty members actively working in the industry in order to develop applied skills in working with data to generate solid business insights and strategies.

What is Data Analytics?

Data Analytics is the field of business focused on utilizing quantitative information (data) to make strategic business decisions. This is an important distinction between Data Sciences (Computer Sciences), which focuses on utilizing data to commoditize a process, create a product, etc.

Whether you’re interested in focusing specifically on analytics or not, you’ll likely be required to possess analytical skills across a number of job functions that previously haven’t focused on it.
