Graduation is coming soon and planning for the 2026 commencement ceremonies is underway. Read on for important information that you need to know before the big day.

Apply for Degree Conferral

Degree conferral applications to participate in the May 2026 Commencement ceremony are open.

Degree Conferral Application Deadlines

March 15: May degree conferral
April 15: August degree conferral (Participating in May Commencement Ceremony Request - Students registered for their remaining 6 credits or less in the summer are eligible to participate in the May Ceremony)
August 1: August degree conferral (Not participating in May Ceremony)

Degree conferral signifies the completion of your academic requirements and is the official awarding of your academic degree. In order to get your Mercy degree, you must submit a Degree Conferral Form to the Registrar's Office. This process involves confirming that you have met all of the requirements for your degree.
