Mercy Connect FAQs

If your question is not among the ones listed below, or if the answer below is insufficient for you, please use the contact form to get in touch with technical support.

Visit Mercy Connect at http://connect.mercy.edu and follow these instructions to retrieve your user name, password, login and CWID.

1. If you are not sure about your Mercy Connect user name and password, click on the link "Get User Name and Password," on the left side of that page. If you already know your Mercy Connect user name and password, skip this step and proceed to step 5.

2. In the new window that opens up, select "Students" if you are an admitted Mercy University student. If you are a faculty or a staff member, select on the appropriate link.

Note: If you are a prospective student who has not yet been admitted to Mercy University, you will need to be admitted first. In that case, contact our Admissions department by telephone at 1-800-MERCY-NY or by e-mail at admissions@mercy.edu.

3. In the user name and password retrieval page, enter the requested information in the correct format, and click the "Click here to retrieve credentials" button.

4. After you retrieve your user name and password, click "Proceed to Mercy Connect."

5. Login to Mercy Connect with your user name and password.

The following are the possible reasons and their respective solutions for the error message:

1. You entered the requested information incorrectly. Retrieve the user name and password again, verifying that all of the requested information has been entered in the correct format.

2. You have not been officially admitted to Mercy University yet. Contact our Admissions department by telephone at 1-800-MERCY-NY or by e-mail at admissions@mercy.edu.

3. Your date of birth or social security number on file at Mercy University are incorrect. Contact the Registrar's office to determine the validity of your date of birth and social security number on file. The Registrar's office can be contacted by telephone at 1-800-MERCY-NY or by e-mail at registrar@mercy.edu.

Note: Your username is tied to your name in the administrative system.

  • If your name is correct but your username is incorrect, contact the Helpdesk at helpdesk@mercy.edu

  • If your name is incorrect contact the Registrar's Office to initiate a name change

To logout of Mercy Connect, click "Logout" on the top right side of the page.

Follow these instructions to access your registered courses:

1. Login to Mercy Connect with your user name and password. If you are not sure how to login, reference the first question above. 

2. Click the Administrative Services page and go to Student and Financial Aid.

3. Select Registration. There you may check your registration status, class schedule and add or drop classes

The courses for which you have registered for are not listed if you registered for them within the last 30 minutes. If the courses are still not listed thereafter, contact the helpdesk at helpdesk@mercy.edu

1. Login to Mercy Connect with your user name and password. If you are not sure how to login, reference the first question above.

2. Navigate to the "Campus Life" page. Find the Mercy Bookstores portlet at the bottom of the left column and click on the appropriate bookstore link.

1. Click on "Find your textbooks"

2. Select your department, course, and section.  Then click Submit.

3. Click on "Add to Cart".

4. Click on "Checkout" when you are finished adding books to your cart to complete purchase.

Contact the Division Chair of the course.

Follow these instructions to access Administrative Services:

1. Login to Mercy Connect with your user name and password. If you are not sure how to login, reference the first question above.

2. Click on the "Administrative Services" page under "Home" on the left navigation pane

Follow these instructions to register for (add) or withdraw from (drop) courses:

1. Click on the Administrative Services page, then select "Student and Financial Aid"

2. Select Registration. There you may check your registration status, class schedule and add or drop classes

3. Follow the instructions on that page.

Call the Student Services Support Center at 1-888-464-6767 to determine what action you need to take to clear any holds you might have.

Contact either the respective Division, the Registrar's office, or 800-MERCY-NY. The Registrar's office can be contacted by by e-mail at registrar@mercy.edu.

1. Click on the Administrative Services page, then select "Student and Financial Aid"

2. Select Student Records to view your holds, grades and transcripts

3. Follow the instructions on that page.
