Samantha L. Karpiloff

Samantha's love for career development began in a role familiar to many Mercy students: an on-campus job. During her time as a Psychology student at Manhattanville University, Samantha worked for several years as a student employee on the Career Development team. Her interactions with students and desire to pursue a career in counseling made her realize this is where she wanted to be. After an internship on the team her junior year, and working in human resources post-graduation, Samantha joined the Mercy University career team in November 2019.

Since then, she has worked with students in nearly every major and supported several project areas, including marketing, office administration, and EPIC, Mercy's career in curriculum initiative. In her current role as Associate Director and based out of the Westchester campus, Samantha mainly advises students pursuing careers in business and accounting. She oversees the team's marketing strategy and helps create content for their channels. She also has the pleasure of managing full-time staff and supports management of the team's student employees.

Samantha is an energetic and creative professional who genuinely loves to build relationships and help people achieve their professional goals. She loves to get outdoors and travel the US, especially in the Northeast and Rocky Mountains. Samantha grew up in Glenelg, Maryland and currently lives in beautiful Putnam County, New York with her husband.
