About

Assistant Professor 

Dr. Sutton currently serves as the Coordinator for Graduate Nursing Programs for Nursing Education and Administration tracks.  She provides direct instruction for nursing courses in the Graduate Nursing Programs.  Dr. Sutton engages in service to the university through various committees, including Faculty Association - Executive Board, Graduate Curriculum Committee and Assessment Coordinator for the School of Nursing.   She collaborates with faculty to improve student learning outcomes through evaluation and revisions of the program curriculum and individual courses.  She consistently serves as a mentor to new faculty and graduate students pursuing a degree in Nursing Education.  In 2023 Dr. Sutton traveled to Cameroon, Africa with her colleagues to deliver education in basic health care to high school prepared students.  She is a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine and serves as a peer reviewer for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).
