Dr. Ramjit is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Mercy University.  She is also the faculty advisor for the Undergraduate Psychology Club and a graduate of Mercy University.

Dr. Ramjit’s research interest is grounded in Vygotsky’s theory of cultural tool use.  Her research has focused on understanding how both traditional and non-traditional college freshmen use stress as a cultural tool to navigate their college transition and experiences.  STEM research collaboration focuses on how different types of support impact students’ engagement in higher education.

Dr. Ramjit teaches a variety of undergraduate psychology courses such as Introduction to Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Statistics for Social and Behavioral Sciences, and others.  She is very committed to her students’ learning and success.
