I am a proud Mercy University graduate, and I have been a part-time faculty member since May 2013, teaching various courses, including early childhood/childhood education, special education, literacy, math, and assessment.

With over 17 years of experience in education, I have served as an elementary classroom teacher, literacy coach, executive leadership coach, and administrator in the Central Offices of the New York City Public Schools. My passion lies in enhancing the skills of leaders and educators in language and literacy, aligned with the Science of Reading, through authentic experiences and high-quality interactive professional learning.

My work has focused on data-driven, system-wide change, MTSS, preparation for teachers and leaders, instructional leadership in language and literacy, literacy identity, collective efficacy, communities of practice, and interdisciplinary learning.

I have an academic background in Early Childhood and Childhood Education, having earned my Master’s degrees from Mercy University and Lehman College and my Bachelor’s degree from Purchase College. Additionally, I hold certifications in NYS for my School Building Leadership (SBL) and School Building Leadership (SDL). I am completing my Ph.D. in the Innovation in Curriculum and Instruction program at the Graduate School of Education at Fordham University, which I expect to finish in 2024. My research focuses on the literacy identity of educators and administrators.

I currently reside in Connecticut with my husband and have amazing five children.
