Professor Kristina Hess brings 11 years of clinical and educational experience to her full-time faculty role at Mercy University. She completed her undergraduate nursing degree at The College of New Rochelle and earned her master’s degree from Frontier Nursing University. Kristina holds dual certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife and a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner. By maintaining an active clinical practice, she seamlessly integrates her hands-on experience into her teaching.

Kristina currently teaches Health Assessment & Promotion Lab and Clinical Judgment at the Bronx and Dobbs Ferry campuses. Kristina’s academic research interests focus on improving perinatal mental health outcomes.
