Kevin Miklasz headshot

Dr. Kevin Miklasz has worked in and around the fields of game design, data research and education. As a trained scientist, he has a BA in Physics from the University of Chicago and a PhD in Biology from Stanford University, but has since spent his time since gaining a diverse set of experiences in the EdTech industry: managing quantitative and qualitative educational research teams,  designing science curriculum, developing learning analytics for playful experiences, teaching after-school science programs, designing science games, and developing learning experience prototypes in emerging technologies. Kevin is the author of Intrinsic Rewards in Games and Learning, which explores how the game industry's innovations in reward structures can be used in educational settings.
