Dr. Brusés received his PhD in neurobiology from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and conducted postdoctoral training at the University of Connecticut (UCONN) and at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). Thereafter, he worked as a senior Scientist at the Sloan-Kettering Institute (MSKCC, SKI) in New York City. His research focuses on the role of cell adhesion molecules in neural development. He currently teaches Molecular and Cell Biology, Neuroscience, and Independent research. He is the Director of the National Science Foundation (NSF) funded Research for Undergraduate (REU) in Neuroscience summer program in collaboration with Albert Einstein Medical College.

Ph.D., Neurobiology, School of Medicine, University of Buenos Aires (UBA)

Postdoctoral Training, Department of Physiology and Neurobiology, University of Connecticut (UCONN); Department of Genetics, Case Western Reserve University (CWRU)

Dr. Bruses research focuses on the role of cell adhesion molecules in neural development. His interest focuses on the role of the cadherins and immunoglobulins superfamilies of adhesion molecules on the formation of synaptic contacts and on the changes of these molecules throughout evolution.
