Dr. John Garett is an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Mercy University, where he has been teaching since 2019. With 17 years of experience in higher education, he brings a wealth of knowledge to both undergraduate and graduate psychology courses.

His academic career includes teaching at institutions such as Montclair State University, St. John's University, St. Joseph's University, Brooklyn College, and Farmingdale State College. His expertise lies in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, bridging both theoretical foundations and applied practice.

Beyond academia, John has extensive corporate psychology experience, having worked with prestigious organizations like Mobil Oil Corporation (ExxonMobil), Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Procter & Gamble. His industry background allows him to bring real-world applications into the classroom, enhancing students’ understanding of psychological principles in business settings.

John is actively engaged in research, with recent work presented at the Society for Personality and Social Psychology Annual Convention (February 2025). His current research focuses on stress and its psychological impacts. His technical expertise includes proficiency in SPSS and Python, research design, organizational assessment tools, and performance evaluation systems.
