Dr. Gurley has been a licensed physical therapist in New York since 2000. He received his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 2000 and his Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Temple University in 2007. He became a board-certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist in 2010 with recertification in 2020 and received a certificate of competency in vestibular rehabilitation from the APTA/Emory University in 2003. He has practiced in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Gurley’s clinical experience more recently has been with adults with neurological conditions in outpatient settings, but he has also worked with patients with various diagnoses in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation units. He continues to practice as the Vestibular Rehabilitation Clinical Specialist at the James J Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx.  Dr. Gurley has been a core faculty member at Mercy University since 2012.
