Mercy Scholars

Mercy Scholars: Tuition is Fully Covered

Mercy Scholars are goal-oriented, driven and determined to get ahead in life. You are a leader in your community, dedicated to your academics and looking for ways to meaningfully impact the world around you. 

The Mercy Scholars Program rewards qualified high school students with full tuition support for all four years of college and also includes exclusive benefits such as: 

  • Full financial support for tuition, books and fees for all four years; additional consideration may be given to other financial needs, such as housing and commuting costs  

  • After the first year, Scholars with a 3.0 or higher GPA may be eligible for increased scholarship support  

  • Renewable for three additional years with minimum cumulative GPA of 2.3, full time enrollment and a track to graduate in four years 

  • Priority registration for classes each semester  

  • Networking events with other Mercy Scholars, senior leaders and key influencers  

  • Designated PACT Mentor and Student Financial Services counselors to give students one-on-one attention and customized guidance

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for the Mercy Scholars Program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Senior - Eligible to graduate from a U.S. high school in spring 2025

Fall University Enrollment - Intend to enroll for a four-year degree at Mercy University beginning in fall 2025

Residence - Must be a resident of New York State

Unmet Financial Need - Must be eligible for FULL federal Pell and NYS TAP grants according to the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) guidelines

Persistence & Academic Excellence - Have a solid academic track record, determination, perseverance and exceptional self-motivation
