Wendi Vescio

Wendi Vescio joined Mercy College as the Associate Dean of the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences in September 2019. Her role in SSBS is to manage the day-to-day academic operations of the school and provide leadership to the staff to ensure maximum efficiency, productivity, and accuracy in all matters in consultation with the Dean. She collaborates with Program Directors and Chairs in several areas and is serving on the Steering Committee for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education self-study and visit and is working on the collection of evidence for the Evidence Inventory.  She is also the liaison between SSBS and many offices around the college, including but not limited to Graduate Admissions, the Registrar’s Office, Financial Aid and PACT.

Wendi has worked in higher education for over fifteen years and prior to joining Mercy, she worked at The College of New Rochelle in the Graduate School until its closure in 2019. At the time of the closure Wendi was the Associate Dean of the Graduate School, which is a position she held for seven years. In addition, she held the title of Interim Dean of the Graduate School from 2017 – 2019.
