President's December 20 Message News

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

As we enter our final week of the fall term and prepare to depart for the winter break, I want to thank you for your continued cooperation and diligence as we manage COVID-19 and the new Omicron variant.  COVID-19 cases have again been rising in the region and in the country. I want to assure you that the College has been in contact with local health officials and is continuing to follow necessary protocols mandated by New York State.

To help deter the spread of COVID we invite you to utilize the walk-in testing facilities on each of our campuses before you depart campus this week.  This precautionary step will help all of us further protect our extended community of family and friends as well as the communities in which we live. Please remember to bring your Mercy ID if you plan to use this service.  Click here for a previous message sent on December 16 from Colleen Powers, Director of Health and Wellness, that includes dates and times of testing on our three campuses as well as information on quarantine protocols.

I also want to remind you of the importance of monitoring your health daily for any symptoms, not to come to campus if you are not feeling well and to continue to wear your mask when you are indoors.  Please visit our dedicated COVID webpage which includes information on our COVID policies, recent communications, links to the COVID dashboard of confirmed cases as well as Frequently Asked Questions.

The College will continue to monitor the cases in our area and will communicate any changes in our policies as necessary.  I hope you enjoy your winter break and wish you a happy New Year.
