Dear Adjunct Faculty Members and Lecturers,
Mercy College and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) met on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, to continue negotiating the collective bargaining agreement between the parties.
It was another productive session. The SEIU presented counter proposals on a number of articles. During the bargaining session, the College and the SEIU made significant progress on the proposals on Discipline and Discharge, Appointment and Assignments, and Professional Development.
We are pleased that the parties have continued to advance discussions on this initial agreement. The College and the SEIU have an additional session scheduled on March 14th, to continue these negotiations. We will provide you with regular updates on progress as this important process moves forward.
