Mercy College Trustee Receives Award from City College of New York

Mercy College Trustee Dr. Gregory H. Williams, M.B.A. ’14 has received the John H. Finley Award from the City College of New York/CUNY. The award honors exemplary, dedicated service to the City of New York and the nation, while enhancing the quality of life of its people.

A nationally recognized leader in higher education, Williams served as the 11th President of City College from 2001-2009 and as the 27th President of the University of Cincinnati. He is also a best-selling author, publishing Life on The Color Line in 1996. This year’s award recipients have led successful careers in fields ranging from meteorology to banking to pharmacology. Past awardees of the John H. Finley Award, now in its 71st year, include Eleanor Roosevelt, acclaimed playwright Neil Simon and Barbara Walters.
