Dear Adjunct Faculty Members and Lecturers,
Mercy College and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) met on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, to continue negotiating the collective bargaining agreement between the parties.
It was a very productive session, as we reached tentative agreements on the articles concerning (1) Professional Development and (2) Discipline and Discharge. The SEIU presented a counter proposal on the Appointment and Assignments article. During the bargaining session, the College and the SEIU had productive dialog and made progress on several outstanding proposals.
Unfortunately, the SEIU did not present counter proposals in response to Mercy’s wage proposal of March 14, 2022.
We therefore requested that SEIU provide these so that negotiations may continue to be productive at the next bargaining session scheduled for April 6th.
