Mercy alumnus Jonathan Bickoff ’09, a graduate of Mercy’s Music Production & Recording Arts program, has been named partner at Walters-Storyk Design Group (WSDG), one of the top five recording studio and acoustic design firms in the world.
Mercy Associate Professor and Program Director Stephen Ward, M. Mus., recalled Bickoff’s talent and potential while he was a Mercy student. “Jonathan was one of our very best students over the years, so I am not surprised at all, but it’s a great testament to how much he learned in the program.”
WSDG co-founding partners Beth Walters and John Storyk remarked, “Andy [another newly named partner] and Jonathan have consistently proven their worth … every day, in meetings, client discussions, problem solving, and by their insights into new technologies to help us work more efficiently.”
According to his LinkedIn profile, Bickoff, who received his Bachelor of Science degree in Music Industry and Technology, landed the first of many jobs in the music industry within months of his graduation. His industry positions, which include sound recording and mixing, audio engineering and acoustic engineering, have landed him a spot in IMDb, the popular and highly regarded authority for information on movies, TV shows, and their casts and crews.
