Mercy College believes all students must graduate with a fundamental understanding of technology. This is reflected in the Information Technology General Education requirement, but also in the pervasive presence of technology on the campuses. The computing environment at Mercy College consists of wireless connectivity throughout all 5 campuses, and the dormitory. All classrooms have network access.
There are 31 computer labs with over 514 computers located at Mercy College's campuses and extension centers. Nine of these labs are "Open Labs" available for students to use for homework, projects or other academic use. The remaining labs are "Classroom Labs" with computers for the students and instructor to use during class. The classroom labs are also equipped with projection capability. Many courses from Accounting to Sociology use the Classroom labs for a large percentage of their class time.
