Lauren Ibiezugbe

Dr. Lauren Ibiezugbe is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing. She graduated with her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Nyack College and went on to work in Pediatric nursing. She later graduated with her Master’s in Public Health from American Public University, and completed her internship in Guatemala where she focused on health promotion and disease prevention. She went on to complete her PhD from the University of Central Florida where she wrote her dissertation on social support and empowerment of caregivers of children with asthma. She has received the Renee M. Keller Endowed Nursing Scholarship, Vivian and Barry Woods Scholarship, and the ANA-NY Future Nurse Leader Award. Her current areas of interest in scholarship include pediatric asthma, caregiver health, and empowerment. She is passionate about providing holistic healthcare to patients and educating the next generation of nurses to become competent, caring and compassionate healthcare providers.
