Bio:
Gary Bernstein is an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of Business at Mercy University focused on courses in the MBA and MSOL programs. Gary had been a full time faculty member in the Graduate School of Business since 2013 and retired in August 2018 from full time status. He had been an adjunct business professor prior to that for most of the last 33 years, with 20 years at Mercy, as well as serving as a University Trustee for 6 years. He is again a University Trustee, having rejoined the Board in 2018.
Prior Experience:
32 years at IBM Corporation, most recently as VP of Finance Transformation and Talent Development from 2006 to 2013. He was IBM’s global financial planning process owner. Key was to create Planning Centers of Excellence in Minnesota, Slovakia, Malaysia, India and Mexico with 2500 Analysts. He also managed the governance for all Finance shared services. In addition he managed the IBM Finance Talent Development project office.

Gary has a BS in Accounting from Drexel University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He is also a CPA.
He has been married for 43 years, has 3 adult children and a granddaughter.
